شهدت مدينة المكلا، اليوم الأحد، توقيع اتفاقية تنفيذ مشروع إعادة تأهيل الحواجز المائية وقنوات الري بوادي دوعن، والذي يتضمن تنفيذ ستة مشاريع بتمويل من مؤسسة صلة للتنمية، وبإشراف مكتب وزارة الزراعة والري بمحافظة حضرموت – الساحل، وذلك في إطار الجهود الرامية إلى تعزيز استدامة الموارد المائية ودعم القطاع الزراعي بالمحافظة.
ووقع الاتفاقية عن مؤسسة صلة للتنمية المدير التنفيذي الأستاذ علي حسن باشماخ، فيما وقعها عن مكتب وزارة الزراعة والري بمحافظة حضرموت – الساحل مدير المكتب المهندس عبدالله العوبثاني، بحضور ممثلي الجهة المنفذة للمشاريع.
ومن المتوقع أن يسهم المشروع في تحسين كفاءة منظومة الري بوادي دوعن، بما يحقق الاستفادة لنحو 21,730 مستفيدًا، وخدمة 54,071 نخلة و13,240 شجرة سدر، إضافة إلى ري ما يقارب 70,000 مطيرة من الأراضي الزراعية، الأمر الذي سينعكس إيجابًا على تعزيز الإنتاج الزراعي وتحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية وتحسين سبل العيش للمزارعين.
وأوضح المدير التنفيذي لمؤسسة صلة للتنمية، الأستاذ علي حسن باشماخ، أن المؤسسة تسعى باستمرار إلى تنفيذ مشاريع تنموية مستدامة تلبي احتياجات المجتمعات المحلية، وتسهم في تعزيز الأمن المائي والغذائي، وتحسين البنية التحتية الزراعية، من خلال الشراكة الفاعلة مع الجهات الحكومية والمانحين، بما يحقق أثراً تنموياً ملموساً ومستداماً للمجتمعات المستفيدة.
من جانبه، أكد مدير مكتب وزارة الزراعة والري بمحافظة حضرموت – الساحل، المهندس عبدالله العوبثاني، أن المشروع يمثل إضافة نوعية لجهود تطوير القطاع الزراعي، وسيسهم في رفع كفاءة استخدام الموارد المائية، وتحسين خدمات الري، وزيادة الإنتاج الزراعي، بما ينعكس إيجاباً على المزارعين والاقتصاد المحلي. وأشاد بالشراكة المتميزة مع مؤسسة صلة للتنمية، مثمناً دورها في تنفيذ المشاريع التنموية التي تخدم القطاع الزراعي وتعزز التنمية المستدامة في محافظة حضرموت.
ويأتي هذا المشروع امتداداً لسلسلة من التدخلات التي نفذتها مؤسسة صلة للتنمية في مجال تأهيل منشآت الري، والتي أسهمت في خدمة أكثر من 140 ألف نخلة و105 آلاف شجرة سدر، إلى جانب ري نحو 210 آلاف مطيرة من الأراضي الزراعية، بما عزز من استدامة الموارد المائية ودعم النشاط الزراعي في عدد من مناطق المحافظة.
ويجسد المشروع الشراكة الفاعلة بين مؤسسة صلة للتنمية ومكتب وزارة الزراعة والري بمحافظة حضرموت – الساحل، ويؤكد التزام الجانبين بتنفيذ مشاريع تنموية مستدامة تسهم في تنمية القطاع الزراعي، وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي، والمحافظة على الموارد المائية، ودعم المجتمعات الريفية، بما يحقق التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية في محافظة حضرموت.
Agreement Signed of implementing Six Projects to Rehabilitate Water Barriers and Irrigation Canals in Wadi Doan, Funded by Selah Foundation
Sunday 26th Mukalla witnessed the signing of agreement to implement rehabilitate water barriers and irrigation canals project in Wadi Doan. The project includes six componats funded by Selah Foundation and overseen by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation Office in Hadramout Coast Governorate – This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the sustainability of water resources and support the agricultural sector in the governorate.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Ali Hassan Bashmakh, CEO of Selah Foundation, and Engineer Abdullah Al-Awthani, Director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation Office in Hadramout Governorate – Coast, in the presence of representatives from the implementing partners.
The project is expected to improve the efficiency of the irrigation system in Wadi Doan, benefiting approximately 21,730 people, serving 54,071 date palms and 13,240 jujube trees, in addition to irrigating nearly 70,000 acres of farmland. This will positively impact agricultural production, economic development, and the livelihoods of farmers.
CEO of Selah Foundation, Mr. Ali Bashmakh, explained that foundation continuously strives to implement sustainable development projects that meet the needs of local communities, contribute to enhancing water and food security, and improve agricultural infrastructure. This is achieved through effective partnerships with government agencies and donors, resulting in a tangible and sustainable development impact for the beneficiary communities.
For his part, the Director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation Office in Hadramawt Governorate – Coast, Engineer Abdullah Al-Awthani, affirmed that the project represents a qualitative addition to efforts to develop the agricultural sector. It will contribute to increasing the efficiency of water resource use, improving irrigation services, and boosting agricultural production, which will positively impact farmers and the local economy. He commended the distinguished partnership with the Silah Development Foundation, praising its role in implementing development projects that serve the agricultural sector and promote sustainable development in Hadramawt Governorate.
This project is an extension of a series of interventions implemented by Selah Foundation in the field of irrigation infrastructure rehabilitation. These interventions have benefited more than 140,000 date palms and 105,000 jujube trees, in addition to irrigating approximately 210,000 feddans of agricultural land. This has enhanced the sustainability of water resources and supported agricultural activity in several areas of the governorate.
The project embodies the effective partnership between Selah Foundation and the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation Office in Hadramawt Governorate – Coast. It underscores the commitment of both parties to implementing sustainable development projects that contribute to the development of the agricultural sector, enhance food security, conserve water resources, and support rural communities, thereby achieving economic and social development in Hadramout Governorate.
